underwater demining

On November 25-26, 2025, representatives of our SEAL Center took an active part in the National Conference on Underwater Demining “Depth of Security”.

The goal/objective of the mission was to establish communication with stakeholders in the field of underwater demining in Ukraine as part of an event organized in partnership with the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine (UNDP), international organizations, and MMO operators to discuss the regulatory and methodological framework for the clearance of water bodies, present technical solutions, analyze environmental aspects, and harmonize approaches to personnel training.

The event was attended by representatives of regional military administrations, central executive authorities, mine action operators, equipment manufacturers (pyrotechnic devices, robotic systems, detection devices, mine clearance support platforms) and representatives of international organizations.

The conference included:

  • a general panel discussion with representatives of government agencies, international partners, scientists, manufacturers, and operators of demining equipment;

  • discussions on five thematic areas;
  • a demonstration session on a water body using robotic platforms, UAVs, and underwater systems.

  • networking: an opportunity for direct dialogue with engineers, representatives of state bodies, and international partners.

Goals of participation in the first conference in Ukraine:

Day 1:

  • Familiarization with innovative technologies for the detection and disposal of explosive objects (EO) in aquatic environments.

  • Exchange of experience on methods used by demining operators in real conditions.

Day 2:

  • Familiarization with the platform's potential for future certification, training, and practice.

  • Search for potential and promising areas and partners in cooperation with the SEAL Center, taking into account the interests of international donors.

All goals and objectives were 100% achieved and analyzed.
