Demine Ukraine 2025

Representatives of the SEAL Center for Survival and Special Training took part in the Demine Ukraine 2025 Forum, held in Kyiv on December 5, 2025. The purpose of the participation was to deepen cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining, exchange experience with national and international partners, and identify practical solutions to accelerate the return of land to safe use. The forum, which addressed demining priorities, digital tools for planning operations, and mechanisms of international support, enabled SEAL to present its approaches to specialist training and to contribute to the implementation of innovative practices in mine action.

Participation in the event also became a logical continuation of the Center’s ongoing initiatives: SEAL regularly conducts specialized training sessions, courses, and practical exercises in tactical medicine, field operations, and other disciplines integrated into the training programs for deminers and security professionals. We see cooperation with government institutions and international partners as an opportunity to expand our consulting services, implement educational programs, and organize training activities for communities and professionals in the field of demining.

underwater demining

On November 25-26, 2025, representatives of our SEAL Center took an active part in the National Conference on Underwater Demining “Depth of Security”.

The goal/objective of the mission was to establish communication with stakeholders in the field of underwater demining in Ukraine as part of an event organized in partnership with the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine (UNDP), international organizations, and MMO operators to discuss the regulatory and methodological framework for the clearance of water bodies, present technical solutions, analyze environmental aspects, and harmonize approaches to personnel training.

The event was attended by representatives of regional military administrations, central executive authorities, mine action operators, equipment manufacturers (pyrotechnic devices, robotic systems, detection devices, mine clearance support platforms) and representatives of international organizations.

The conference included:

  • a general panel discussion with representatives of government agencies, international partners, scientists, manufacturers, and operators of demining equipment;

  • discussions on five thematic areas;
  • a demonstration session on a water body using robotic platforms, UAVs, and underwater systems.

  • networking: an opportunity for direct dialogue with engineers, representatives of state bodies, and international partners.

Goals of participation in the first conference in Ukraine:

Day 1:

  • Familiarization with innovative technologies for the detection and disposal of explosive objects (EO) in aquatic environments.

  • Exchange of experience on methods used by demining operators in real conditions.

Day 2:

  • Familiarization with the platform's potential for future certification, training, and practice.

  • Search for potential and promising areas and partners in cooperation with the SEAL Center, taking into account the interests of international donors.

All goals and objectives were 100% achieved and analyzed.

ASIS International and the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA).

The SEAL Center team organized a meeting between the leadership of the Ukrainian chapter of ASIS International and Jamie Williamson, CEO of the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA).

The meeting took place in a warm and collaborative atmosphere. Key topics included the development of the private security sector in Ukraine, ethical and accountability standards, and prospects for joint initiatives.

We strongly believe that such dialogues contribute to the professionalization of the security industry, greater transparency, and the integration of best international practices into the Ukrainian context.

Many thanks to all participants for the open dialogue and cooperation!

SEAL Centre at a workshop on mine action and innovation SEAL Centre Participated in Workshop on Demining Challenges and Innovations

On March 27–28, representatives of SEAL SSTTC took part in a two-day workshop focused on “Contemporary Challenges and Innovative Approaches in the Field of Mine Action,” organized by the Secretariat of the National Mine Action Authority with the support of the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine.

The event brought together key stakeholders from government, international organizations, research institutions, and civil society to discuss effective coordination, technological innovation, and environmental aspects of humanitarian demining in Ukraine.

The first day addressed operational results, coordination between public institutions, and the development of an innovation ecosystem in mine action. Special attention was paid to startup solutions in MilTech, the presentation of the IRON cluster, and new technologies for tracking and mechanical demining.

Day two focused on the environmental consequences of explosive contamination. Discussions included soil degradation, forest restoration, environmental monitoring, and digital tools for assessing and mitigating the environmental impact of war.

SEAL Centre emphasized the importance of integrating innovative and sustainable solutions in mine action, especially in communities affected by conflict. Events like this strengthen intersectoral cooperation and highlight the role of inclusive, expert-driven approaches to restoring safety and resilience in Ukraine’s de-occupied areas.
